You may read more about the SCCA Time Trials program at the primary SCCA website.

SCCA Club Time Trials provides a venue for SCCA members who wish to experience higher speeds than the Solo program allows, and who are not yet ready to go Club Racing. SCCA Club Time Trials is a bridge program, halfway between Solo and Club Racing.

Notes from the steward on the 2007 season:

All events will be run in conjunction with Regional Road Race events.

Our events will be held in conjunction with the COR and CDR regional club racing events. We will participate as our own separate run group, and this will mean changes from our previous daily schedule. No longer will we work, run, work, run. Instead the majority of drivers will work the corners during the PDX (performance driving experience) from 7:30 to 8:00 am. However, some workers will be assisting the road racers during the day. The idea being that we will be able to better train our workers by operating to the same standard as the road race workers, in specialties like pre-grid, grid, and hot pit out. We will still retain our own tech workers, registration workers, and operating chiefs.
The big advantage to running with the road racers is that we will be preparing our drivers for the step to road racing. Once someone has run with Time Trials program, the only difference to running a regional event will be your run group, and different passing rules. Our drivers will be able to interact with the road racers all day, and get the feel the structure of a road race event.

PDX Program:
We will be replacing our traditional drivers school with the PDX program. There are two reasons for this We want to offer something to the road race program, and we will be offering free PDX entries to the corner workers who work the event. We hope this incentive will attract more workers for the events. The PDX will still be open to non-workers, currently the fee will be $75.00. Thirty minutes of in car instruction for only $75 is a great value! The PDX program will be the first step of the ladder of the Time Trials program. Anyone who wishes to compete in Time Trials will need previous experience at a Time Trial, a Competition licence (SCCA, NASA, PCA, BMWCCA, or RM Vintage), or have completed a PDX and be signed off by an instructor. Each and every PDX participant will have their own instructor assigned to them for their session.
