Entry Fee Discounts
To make our events more affordable to all drivers we have some ways to earn discounts for entry fee costs. The more you become involved with the operations of an event, the cheaper it is to drive in that event. In some cases you can earn entry credits for a spouse or friend.
FREE PDX, FREE PDX
You can earn a FREE entry into a PDX event by working any SCCA regional or national road race event held in Colorado in 2009. There are 10 weekends of SCCA racing in Colorado this year, so there are plenty of opportunities to earn FREE PDX credits.
This is very easy to do, provides the best seat for watching the events, and you will have great fun hanging out with all the workers who are such a vital part of our events. We will train you to work corners, or train you in a specialty that interests you.
How do I earn a FREE PDX? 3 EASY STEPS.
Show up to the workers meeting held on the morning prior to the event, choose from any on the schedule, tell the chief of workers (STEP 1) you are there to work to earn your FREE PDX. The chief of workers will put you in the hands of experienced workers who will train you, assist you and mentor you during the day. Workers are provided free drinks, free lunch, free evening meals on Saturdays, and at certain events are eligible for gas money or hotel room costs. You are expected to be at the track all day, typically 7:30am until last car finishes, typically 4-5 pm. (STEP 2)
On Monday following the event you worked, email <Grant> and tell him how much fun you had (STEP 3 - vital to earning your credit). You are then eligible to run your next PDX for FREE. In some cases you can even drive in your PDX the very same day you earn your worker credit.
How to earn discounts for CTT entry fees? Lots of options!!!!
Instructors.
If you have driven with our program for a number of years, chances are you will invited to become a member of the CTT instructor core, commanded by David Jobusch, assisted by Jeff Burch. Instructors qualify for a 50% discount to events. If you have experience with the CTT program, are interested in becoming an instructor, and cutting your weekend expenses in half, please contact <David>, <Jeff> or <Grant>. If you are a current Porsche Club, BMW Club, or NASA instructor contact <David> or <Grant> for details on how to become part of our current team of instructors.
Specialty Chiefs
The PDX/CTT program relies on the expertise of our volunteers. If you have a special skill that furthers the program, you could become one of our Chiefs and be eligible for a 50% discount. We have chiefs of safety, tech inspection, registration, website development, marketing, and operations. We currently have a few openings available to qualified individuals. Contact <Grant> for more info.
Assistant Chiefs or Key Members (earn at least a 25% discount on fees)
Some specialties have assistant positions available.
Assistant Tech Specialists conduct vehicle inspections prior to, or on site at the event. They are also available to assist drivers with mechanical issues during the event, and are present in impound to assist the Chief of Tech. Assistant Tech’s will often mentor new comers to the program, with regards to the increased mechanical demands on a vehicle in a track day environment.
Assistant Registration workers help with driver check in and registration. They work with the Chief of Registration to handle the administration duties of a safely run event.
Assistant Safety Specialists work under the guidance of the Chief of Safety, and ensure that our events are held to a high standard of safety. Safety Specialists are part of the Key Members who make up the operations side of an event.
ALL Assistant positions qualify for a 25% discount on entry fees to that event worked. We can train you in the specialty of your interest, and are always looking for Assistant Chiefs and Key Members. Some discounts are transferable, so are a great way to earn a cheaper entry for a wife, husband, friend or co-worker. Help us run an event, and you can get a discount to show someone else how much fun we have as part of this great club. And the driving on track is great too!!!! Contact Grant if you have questions.
