All competitors will be required to mount a transponder to their car, and
purchase a transponder mounting clip. You can purchase the clip fromAMB
(the manufacturer)
This requirement is waived if you have your own transponder mounted, be sure to let registration know what your transponder number is during checkin if you are providing your own.

Mounting the transponder clip
- Mount with metal clip up
- Mount with unobstructed view to the ground (through plastic is ok)
- Mount no higher than 24 inches
- Mount so it is easily
accessible – we will put the transponder
in the clip just before you run
and remove it when you come off the track to move the transponder to the next set of cars.
Places to mount the clip:
- Zip tied to the front license plate or license plate bracket is a great place for this clip.
- Use double sided foam tape and tape it to your rear bumper for the day
Here's another mounting option:
- Use a small bolt or sheet metal screw and attach it to a fender liner, but make sure we can get to it quickly·
- Use a suction cup mount from autocrosser Randy Chase: http://www.chasecam.com/mounts-suction.htm Ask him about a transponder mount.
